The mechanical plant used obsolete technology and was dangerous to maintain. There were severe grease and odor problems. EBH worked closely with the City of Stockton to design and construct a new treatment facility which includes:

  • Pump station and forcemain
  • Odor control system
  • 3-cell Wastewater lagoon
  • Chlorine disinfection of effluent
  • Treated Effluent pump station and forcemain to local golf course

Project Details

Solid grease over 1 foot thick would build up in the wetwell, and hydrogen sulfide concentrations often reached dangerous levels. The oxygen and ozone system pre- treats sewage as it comes in, making the grease more soluble and eliminating odor.
