EBH is looking for experienced Construction Observers to join our team.

 Experience
5 years of construction or construction observation background

 Position Location
All EBH offices – Great Bend, Cimarron, Goodland, Neodesha, Pratt, Hillsboro and Marion

 Job Duties

  • Coordinate construction project information with engineers, contractors and clients
  • Review Shop drawings and submittals
  • Track construction project progress and unit payment quantities
  • Maintain complete red-line drawings for creation of as-built construction drawings
  • Assist team with meeting client expectations and schedules
  • Maintain photo library of construction project photos
  • Attention to details and drawing standards
  • Maintain written log book of all construction activity
  • Written and verbal communication with engineers, contractors and clients

Job Requirements

  • KDOT Inspection Certifications will be required within the first 3 months of employment. Currently having these certifications is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience for entry level; 10 years of experience for senior level
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiar with AutoCAD or other CAD software
  • Familiar with engineering services concepts, terminology and drafting projects
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to be a part of a highly successful team
  • Demonstrates personal initiative, positive outlook and desire to learn

Engineering Technician - Drafting and Construction Observer - Marion and Hillsboro, KS

EBH is looking for an experienced or entry level Engineering Technician with emphasis on Drafting and Construction Observation, to join our team.

Education
4-year Bachelor’s Degree or 2-year Associates Degree from an accredited school, preferred not required.

Position Location – Kansas
Hillsboro and Marion

Job Duties

  • Assist in planning of projects by coordinating with engineers, surveyors and clients
  • Incorporate industry materials and changes into project drawings and details
  • Experience with Autodesk Platform including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and integration of other survey software into the Autodesk environment
  • Familiarity with KDOT preferred but not required
  • Understanding of the Public Land Survey System, ALTA Surveys, Utility Mapping, Property Descriptions, Easement Exhibits, and Right-of-Ways
  • Ability to read and understand survey drawings
  • Ability to travel as needed to visit project sites, and assist in design and construction observation.
  • Strong computer skills including proficient knowledge in Windows/Microsoft software
  • Written and verbal communication with agency engineers, industry representatives and clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Location
Northwest Kansas

Job Duties

As a Survey Crew Chief, you will work out in the field on survey projects including construction staking, boundary surveys, topography surveys, and ALTA Surveys. You will serve as the survey party chief and may have the opportunity to get involved with project management. You will travel to job sites at different stages of completion and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
