Project Details

There were some challenges that were overcome by the team which created partnering opportunities to bring value to the project. A simple industrial street project turned out to have more problems, and traffic control problems arose on day 1. The original project schedule was adjusted after Sporer hit a cable only 12” deep, although confirmed with the AT&T engineers that the line wasn’t there. Both together and individually EBH, Sporer, and the City communicated and pressed AT&T on providing a solution to the problem.

While the project schedule would be delayed, Sporer re-sequenced construction, completed all the earthwork they could at the west end, de-mobilized their earthwork crews, and then shifted focus to the east end concrete work. They completed all
- curb & gutter
- mainline pavement
- concrete apron between Cherry & Caldwell

This project included:
- Grading
- Concrete Pavement
- Seeding
- 7500 square yards flyash base
- 7500 square yards concrete pavement on a 1700’ long, 36’ wide industrial street
- Grading of a new ditch
