The City of Clifton, Kansas will receive sealed bids for the 2019 Clifton K-9 Surface Preservation Project from Willow Street to the East City Limits, at City Hall in Clifton, 104 E. Parallel Street, Clifton, Kansas 66937 until 1:00 pm,     Monday, July 8, 2019. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.

Major items of work include Approximately: 7220 square yards of Milling, 912 tons of HMA – Commercial Grade (Class A), 70 tons of HMA-Commercial Grade (Class A)(Patching), 188 square yards of Geogrid (Patching), 188 square yards of Granular Base (Patching), 2 each of Sidewalk Ramp, 40 square yards of Sidewalk Construction, 2345 linear feet of Pavement Marking (Multi-Component)(White)(6”), 3470 lineal feet of Pavement Marking (Multi-Component)(Yellow)(4”), 64 linear feet of Pavement Marking (Intersection Grade)(24”), 2 each of Manhole Adjustments, 2 each of Remove/Reset Mailbox, Traffic Control Items, Transportation of Salvageable Material and other appurtenances.

 Bidding Documents may be obtained at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $50.00 for each set or electronically by download. The deposit is non-refundable.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities or to reject any or all bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
