Sealed Bids for the construction of K23 Highway Improvements 2021 will be received, by the City of Cimarron, Kansas, addressed as follows: Jeff Acton, City Administrator, 119 Main St., Cimarron, KS 67835 or City of Cimarron, PO Box 467, Cimarron, KS 67835 until 2:00 P.M, Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time in the City Hall, 126 Main St., Cimarron, KS. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.

Work consists of: The major items of work include highway improvements: 1 Lump Sum of Mobilization, 9387 Square Yards of Milling, 1200 Tons of HMA-Commercial Grade (Class A), 371 Tons of HMA-Commercial Grade (Class A) (Patching), 1052 Square Yards of Granular Base (Patching), 1052 Square Yards of Geosynthetic Reinforcement (Patching), 391 Cubic Yards of Transporting Salvageable Material, 3654 Lineal Feet of Pavement Marking (Multi-Component) (Yellow) (4”), 809 Lineal Feet of Pavement Marking (Multi-Component) (White) (6”), 1 Lump Sum of Traffic Control, 1 Lump Sum of Contractor Construction Staking, 1 Hourly of Flagger (Set Price), and other appurtenances.

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com\plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any, and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bid security: Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities or to reject any or all bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
