The City of Ellinwood, Kansas will receive sealed bids for the construction of Tunnel Sidewalk Improvements at City of Ellinwood, 104 E. 2nd St, P.O. Box 278, Ellinwood, Kansas 67526-1627 until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time. 

Major items of work include approximately: 1 L.S. of Mobilization, 1 L.S. of Removal of Existing Concrete Sidewalk, 1 L.S. of Removal of Existing Concrete, 1 L.S. of Removal of Existing Columns/Beams, 6 Each of Concrete Footer (12” Dia x 12”), 29 Each of Concrete Footer (18’ Dia x 36”), 224 S.Y. of 8” Concrete (Reinforced), 53 S.Y. of 6” Concrete Sidewalk (Reinforced), 203 L.F. of Column (4” x 4” x ¼” Square Tubing), 42 L.F. of Column (3” x 0.216” Round Pipe), 140 L.F. of Racking Brace (1 ½” x 1 ½” x ¼” Square Tubing), 290 L.F. of Beam (W8 x 21 or W6x25), 3 Each of Remove & Reset Signs, 1 L.S. of Traffic Control, 1 L.S. of Construction Staking, and various other appurtenances.  

Bidding Documents may be examined at the City of Ellinwood, Kansas and at: 

EBH Engineering Office, 123 S. Main, Cimarron, Kansas 67835 

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com\plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any, and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $175.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. 

Bid security: Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. 

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities or to reject any or all bids. 

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
