The City of Marion, Kansas will receive sealed bids for the construction of CLEAR CREEK STREAMBANK
STABILIZATION at the City Hall, 208 E. Santa Fe, Marion, KS 66861, until 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately
after the specified closing time.
Major items of work include: Mobilization & Demobilization, 300 cubic yards of Excavation (Excavation),
Earthfill (Subsidiary to Excavation), 126 tons of Rock RipRap (Rock Rip Rap), 300 tons of Rockfill (subsidiary
to Rock Rip Rap), 47 tons of Drainfill (Subsidiary to ), 123 tons of Ditch Lining Rock (Rock Rip Rap), 310
square yards of Geotextile (Subsidiary to Rock Rip Rap), Pollution Control (Subsidiary to Mobilization and
Demobilization), and other items subsidiary to these bid items, along with other appurtenances.
City of Marion will complete access road to the site and other work as shown in drawings.

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the EBH website:
www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any
and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. The date that the Bidding
Documents are downloaded by the contractor will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of
the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.
Owner will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any,
obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Design and technical specifications were completed by USDA engineers.
Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions
to Bidders.
Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
