Let’s build trails!  Are you needing funding for an upcoming trail project in your community? The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism’s Recreational Trails Program provides 80% matching funds, on a reimbursement basis, for eligible recreational trail construction costs.  Grant applications are due August 1, 2019.

All projects selected through this program must fall into one or more of these three categories:

  • motorized
  • non-motorized
  • diversified recreational trail or trail-related projects

Proposals that provide improved ADA and environmental impacts will receive a higher priority.  Projects that provide for motorized recreation activities are encouraged, as 30% of the funding is to be devoted to motorized projects.

EBH will be your trusted advisor throughout the grant application and funding process leading to the design and engineering of your project.  We work closely with funding and regulatory agencies to reach win-win design and engineering solutions, maximizing the use of grant funds and contributing to community enhancements and improvements for your city.

Contact us today to learn more about how we can help you obtain funding and design your next project!  We look forward to talking with you.
