The City of Hillsboro will receive sealed bids for the 2018 Hillsboro Street Improvements – East Grand Street.  City of Hillsboro, 118 East Grand, Hillsboro, KS 67063  until  10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2019.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted.  Bids will be opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.

STREET IMPROVEMENTS: (Major Items of Work)

Base Bid:  East Grand from Washington St to Adams St – Concrete Surface

270 square yards of 8” Concrete Valley Gutter; 4,500 square yards of Concrete Pavement Section; 200 square yards of Crosswalk Concrete Pavers; 350 square yards of 6” Concrete Entrance Pavement; 2,250 linear feet of Curb & Gutter; 1,600 cubic yards of Unclassified Excavation; 5,700 square yards of Place 4”Crushed Rock Base over Geogrid; 5,700 square yards of 4” Crushed Rock Base; 80 square yards of 4” Sidewalk; 7 ADA Ramps; Seeding and Traffic Control

Add/Alt 3:  Offstreet Parking between Jefferson St and Madison St

430 square yards of 6” Concrete Entrance Pavement; 360 linear feet of Curb & Gutter; 200 cubic yards of Unclassified Excavation; 550 square yards of Place 4”Crushed Rock Base over Geogrid; and 550 square yards of 4” Crushed Rock Base

Bidding Documents may be examined at City of Hillsboro and at the Engineer’s office.

Each of the projects will be reviewed separately for compliance with the Bid Documents, and the OWNER reserves the right to award the contracts to two separate contractors or to award as a package to one single contractor.

OWNER reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and/or all bids.
