The City of Ashland, Kansas will receive sealed bids for the CCLIP Surface Preservation Project of US-160 Highway, from West City Limits to East City Limits, at City Hall in Ashland, 703 Main, P.O. Box 547, Ashland, Kansas 67831-0547 until 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 18, 2019 Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.

Major items of work include Approximately: 15 cubic yards of Rock excavating, 140 lineal feet of Curb & Gutter, Combined (AE), 9 square yards of Sidewalk Construction (4”)(AE), 58 square yards of Sidewalk Ramp, 13,903 square yards of Milling, 773 cubic yards of Transporting Salvageable Material, 1775 tons of HMA – Commercial Grade (Class A), 290 tons of HMA – Commercial Grade (Class A)(Patching), 479 square yards of Granular Base (Patching), 479 square yards of Geosynthetic Reinforcement (Patching), 2457 lineal feet of Pavement Marking (Multi-Component)(White)(6”), 5240 lineal feet of Pavement Marking (Multi-Component)(Yellow)(4”), 248 lineal feet of Pavement Marking (Multi-Component)(White)(12”), Traffic Control, and other appurtenances.

 Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com\PlanRoom, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any, and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $80.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded by the contractor and will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities or to reject any or all bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
