Bids for the Young Memorial Park Improvements 2022 will be received by hard copy at City Hall, 585 N Franklin Avenue, Colby, Kansas 67701, or electronically on the online plan room of the engineer: www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, until 10:00 A.M. CT, Wednesday, November 29, 2022. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read immediately after the specified closing time. Interested persons may attend live bid opening in person or by live teleconference by dialing 1-785-289-5712 and entering conference ID 501102700#. A link to the video feed of the bid opening will be sent to plan holder’s email addresses on the day prior to bid opening. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.

Major items of work – Improvements to Young Memorial Park will include installing a netting and block backstop system, constructing new dugouts, new chain link and decorative fencing, 4” concrete sidewalk, 6” concrete pavement, and additives including constructing additional 4” concrete sidewalk, 8” concrete pavement, batting cages, a ticket booth, and press box.

Bidding Documents may be examined at City Hall in Colby, Kansas, or at the Engineer’s Office. Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded by the contractor will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
