Sealed Bids for the construction of Caldwell Avenue Improvements 2024 will be received at City Hall, 204 West 11th, Goodland, KS 67735, or electronically on the online plan room of the engineer: www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, until January 25, 2023 at 2:15 MT local time. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read immediately after the specified closing time. A link to the video feed of the bid opening will be sent to plan holder’s email addresses on the day prior to bid opening. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.

Work consists of: The major items of work include road improvements 8750 Square Yards of Milling, 1005 Tons of HMA-Commercial Grade (Class A), 185 Tons of HMA-Commercial Grade (Class A) (Patching), 550 Square Yards of Granular Base (Patching), 550 Square Yards of Geosynthetic Reinforcement (Patching), 2 Each Adjustment of Manholes, 1 Each Adjustment of Water Valves, Traffic Control, and other appurtenances.

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com\plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any, and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the date of the opening thereof.
