Addendum No. 1 - Dated 01-22-2024

Sealed Bids for the construction of 2024 Industrial Park Utility and Street Improvements will be received at City Hall, 204 West 11th, Goodland, KS 67735, or electronically on the online plan room of the engineer: www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, until January 25, 2023 at 2:00 MT local time. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read immediately after the specified closing time. A link to the video feed of the bid opening will be sent to plan holder’s email addresses on the day prior to bid opening. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.

Work consists of: Street Improvements: 4,345 cubic yards of common excavation, 23 cubic yards of rock excavation, 5,184 square yards of 8” NRDJ concrete pavement, 95 square yards of 8” concrete pavement, 2,592 lineal feet of curb and gutter, 5,989 of aggregate base and geosynthetic reinforcement, 1 each concrete flume, 33 square yards of rip rap slope protection, 3 each of adjustment of water valves; Drainage and Earthwork Improvements: 6,500 cubic yards of common excavation, 3,523 cubic yards of compaction of earthwork, 44 square yards of rip rap slope protection, 395 square yards of erosion control mat, and 1 lump sum of seeding; Waterline Improvements: 1 each waterline connection, 555 lineal feet of 8” PVC C900 waterline, 2 each of 6” gate valves, 1 each of 8” gate valve, 2 each of fire hydrant assemblies, and 2 each of condulet test stations; Sanitary Sewer Improvements: 1 each sanitary sewer connection, 1,565 lineal feet of 8” SDR26 sanitary sewer pipe, 6 each of standard manholes, 7 lineal feet of manhole (extra depth), traffic control, erosion control and appurtenances.

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded by the contractor will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
