The City of Holton, Kansas, will receive sealed bids for the construction of Lilac Sewer Realignment Sewer Improvements 2024 at the City Hall or by mail at 430 Pennsylvania Avenue, Holton, Kansas 66436, until 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 9th, 2025. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.

Major items of work – Realignment of the sanitary sewer collection system including a base bid of constructing 3 new manholes, approximately 266 feet of bored 10” DR 17 DIPS HDPE, 112 of open trench 10” SDR 26 PVC, 122 feet of 18” SDR 26 PVC, removal of a manhole, repair of asphalt and grass surfacing, traffic control, and appurtenances.

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded by the contractor will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Prospective Bidders shall visit sites with City personnel prior to submitting bid.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
