Addendum ADDENDA NOS. 1 & 2

Sealed Bids for the construction of 2021 Waterline Improvements will be received, by the City of La Crosse, Kansas, addressed as follows:  Duane Moeder, City Manager, 1119 Main St., La Crosse, KS 67548-0339 or City of La Crosse, PO Box 339, La Crosse, KS 67548 until 2:00 P.M, Thursday, July 29, 2021. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time in the City Hall, 1119 Main St., La Crosse, KS. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis.

Work consists of: The major items of work include water line improvements: 5 each Waterline Connection, 923 linear feet 6” C900 DR18 PVC Pipe, 282 linear feet 6” Bore & Encase w/12” Steel Casing, 682 Linear Feet 6” Bore (Pipe not included), 740 linear feet 6” C900 DR18 Certa-Lok Pipe, 14 each 6” Gate Valve w/Valve Box, 1 each 8” Gate Valve w/Valve Box, 5 each Waterline Abandonment, 6 each Valve and Valve Box Abandonment, 3 each Abandon Fire Hydrant & Feeder Line, 3 each Fire Hydrant Assembly (3-way), 3 each Test Station Tracer Wire, 18 Each Water Meter Abandonment, 656 linear feet 1” Service Line w/Tracer Wire, 344 linear feet 1” Bore, 17 each 1” Service Connection (incl. Saddle, Corp Stop & Fittings), 271 linear feet 2” Service Line w/Tracer Wire, 246 linear feet 2” Bore, 1 each 2” Service Connection (Incl. Saddle, Corp Stop & Fittings), 2 each Sanitary Sewer Crossing, 40 square yard Remove & Replace Gravel Surfacing, 130 square yard Remove Pavement & Replace w/Concrete, 43 square yard Remove & Replace Concrete Sidewalk, and other appurtenances.

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website:\plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any, and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bid security: Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
