The City of Leoti is accepting sealed Bids for the construction of Earl Street Improvements 2024 will be received at City Hall, 406 S. 4th, P.O. Box 7E, Leoti, KS 67861 or electronically on the online plan room of the engineer: www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, until February 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. CT local time. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read immediately after the specified closing time. A link to the video feed of the bid opening will be sent to plan holder’s email addresses on the day prior to bid opening. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time. 

Work consists of: Street Improvements: 1,865 cubic yards of unclassified excavation, 4,233 square yards of 6” concrete pavement, 214 square yards of 8” concrete pavement, 2,014 lineal feet of curb and gutter, 5,006 of aggregate base and geosynthetic reinforcement, 194 square yards of concrete sidewalk; Waterline Improvements: 9 each waterline connections, 102 lineal feet of 4” PVC C900 waterline, 5 lineal feet of 6” PVC C900 waterline, 894 lineal feet of 8” PVC C900 waterline, 60 lineal feet of bored 8” certa lok waterline, 90 lineal feet of 2” HDPE waterline, 4 each of 2” corporation valves, 3 each of 4” gate valves, 1 each of 6” gate valves, 3 each of 8” gate valve, 1 each of fire hydrant assemblies, and 2 each of condulet test stations, 9 each of waterline abandonments; traffic control, seeding, erosion control and appurtenances.

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com/plan-room, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room.  Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded by the contractor will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.  Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.  Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. 

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. 

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids. 

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
