Addendums to previously submitted bids will not be accepted. If you need to make changes to your bid, you must resubmit your bid in its entirety. The Marion County Commissioners will receive sealed bids for the Project to 2024 Asphalt Road Improvements, at Commission Chambers in the County Court House in Marion, 200 S. 3rd St, Marion, Kansas 66861 until 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time using an online public meeting. An invitation to this meeting will be sent to all plan holders the morning of the Bid Opening. Bids will be accepted to either the online planroom, https://ebhengineering.com/plan-room/ or delivered to the Marion County Clerk at 200 South 3rd St, Marion, Kansas for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary to: 2024 Asphalt Road Improvements.

Major items of work include Approximately:
Base Bid – 2” Asphalt Surfacing: 8,800 tons of HMA – Commercial Grade (Class A) (2”), Traffic Control and other appurtenances.

Alternate 1 – Additional 1” Asphalt Surface: Add 1” to Quail Creek – 350th to 360th. Complete this mile as 2 lifts at 1-1/2” each. Additional 750 tons of HMA – Commercial Grade (Class A).

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities or to reject any or all bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
