The Marion County Commissioners will receive sealed bids for the Project to Demo for Marion Co Health Department , until 11 am, Friday, March 8, 2024. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time at Commission Chambers in the County Court House in Marion, 200 S. 3rd St, Marion, Kansas 66861
Bids will be accepted to either the online planroom at https://ebhengineering.com/plan-room/ or delivered to the Marion County Clerk, Marion County Court House, 200 S. 3rd St, Marion, Kansas 66861

Major items of work include Approximately:

• • Remove all trees to include root balls on property
  • Remove main structure to include all footings/foundations
  • Remove ancillary structure to include all footings/foundations
  • Cap 4” Sanitary Sewer line at property line
  • Remove gas pump awning to include all footings/foundations
  • Remove all concrete on the property (sidewalk and drives from sidewalk to street shall remains.

All material removed from the property will be the responsibility of the contractor for disposal. If the contractor does not have a location for the disposal of the concrete, the county will accept the concrete at the south shop (1/2 mile west of the intersection of Sunflower and 180th) City will relocate electrical service for Fitness Center and remove electrical service to this structure. ATMOS has abandoned the gas line on the property. There are no KDHE records of either tanks or monitoring wells on the property.

PROJECT SHALL BE COMPLETED BY MAY 1, 2024

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.
Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities or to reject any or all bids.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days of the actual date of the opening thereof.
