The City of WaKeeney, Kansas will receive sealed bids for the KDOT Cost Share Program of the 1st Street Reconstruction at City Hall in WaKeeney, 408 Russell Avenue, P.O. Box 157, WaKeeney, Kansas 67672 until 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 27, 2022 Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the specified closing time.

Major items of work include: Approximately 610 Cubic Yards of Common Excavation, 687 Cubic Yards of Rock Excavation, 3167 Square Yards of Concrete Pavement (9” Reinforced) (AE), 3167 Square Yards of Aggregate Base (6”) w/ geogrid, 264 Lineal Feet of Curb & Gutter, Combined (AE), 293 Lineal Feet of Concrete Header (Railroad Tracks), 2 Each of Curb Inlet, 2 Each of Adjustment of Valve Box, and other appurtenances.

Bidding Documents: Electronic copies of the bidding documents may be obtained through the Engineer’s website: www.ebhengineering.com\PlanRoom, by entering your information in the required fields. Addenda, if any, and Plan Holders list will also be available through the EBH website Plan Room. Hard copies of the Bidding Documents are available at the Engineer’s office upon depositing $100.00 per set. No refunds will be made. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded by the contractor and will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid shall accompany each bid in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities or to reject any or all bids.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
